Getting started with blender

The Tasmanian tourist attraction I regrettably chose to model was spiky bridge pictured here: 

Which turned out like this:

The model itself turned out ok I think (I just couldn't be bothered when it came to the spiky top section and some of the UVs were incredibly scuffed).


I've had a little bit of experience when it comes to modelling so the general shape of the bridge wasn't too hard to make and I think turned out pretty well, except for the spikes... there was too much detail so I skipped a lot of it and made some crude spiky shapes on the top to at least capture the general idea. The UV mapping was a bit more of a challenge cause I've never really done it before and with the addition of the horribly janky spikes (I don't really know proper modelling technique) and I ended up giving up half way so as you can see, some of it is extremely warped but the main sections of the bridge are textured. Over all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and I might end up fixing some of the UVs later on.
